Can bacterial vaginosis cause a missed period?
HappyGyrl asked:
I have been diagnosed as having bacterial vaginosis. My period is almost two weeks late now. I KNOW that I’m NOT pregnant because I have been practicing abstinence for the past year. Can this infection be the cause of my missed period? I have never missed a period, other than the time I was pregnant with my daughter so this is not a usual thing for me. I am a little bit worried. Thanks in advance to anyone that answers.

This condition doesn’t normally affect the menstrual cycle, but I’d strongly suggest you contact your OB/GYN as soon as possible, to have the appropriate tests done to diagnose this condition.
Now as a sidebar, don’t worry. It is probably just the stress of worrying about this infection that is delaying your period.
Take care and I wish you well.
bacterial vaginosis
ever since i started my period when i was a 11 i never had a normal period
but from what the doctors told me there are many reasons why your period isnt normal
stress can stop a period and fast weight loss or gain can stop a period
that causes your hormones to go unbalanced
