The answer to your question is 'yes' - Reinfection is quite common. If you want to get rid of bacterial infection, use an antimicrobial killing agent, not antibiotics.

Treat topically to affected areas and take orally, until the condition vanishes, then take for a further few weeks to make sure that no reinfection is occuring.

This solution is tested, patented and acclaimed for its non-toxic properties and killing ability in such small concentrations.

Yeast Testing
1) University Of California at Davis (Jason Henrie, 4/13/99)- Yeast Test- found effective in killing S. cerevisiae var and Montrachet forms of yeast.

2) Brigham Young University- Antimicrobial Efficacy Against Vaginal Pathogens When Used As A Suppository- found effective in killing 21 pathogens, including two different types of yeast and one other fungus. Jessica K. Pate, August 2004.

3) Viridis BioPharma (India)- found effective in killing Candida albicans.

4) Analytical Resource Laboratory- found effective at killing Candida albicans.

Silver Solution vs. Bacteria
1) Brigham Young University- Antibiotic Comparison- found more effective and more broad-spectrum than any of the individual antibiotics tested (15 pathogens).

2) Brigham Young University- Activity Against Numerous Pathogenic Bacterium- found effective at killing every pathogenic bacterium it was tested against at less than 10 ppm (17 pathogens).

3) Analytical Resource Laboratory- Rapid Challenge Tests- found effective at killing the MRSA bacterium.

Hope that helps...

Sometimes , i agree the infection may not be cleared in one dose. I would also advise againt using ANY purfumed wash... They make me break out and get yeast too. Stick with plain soap and water.
Also , women in MID_Cycle shed a mucus lining , your uterus gets ready in case you become preggo.. .if you dont then it sheds (mucous type discharge , no smell) and about a week or two later your period comes... it happens to me every month... (thats how if you pay attention , you can tell when is your time frame for getting pregnant... have sex around that time ;) OR DONT :P

I would get rechecked because some cases of vaginitis are hard to completely clear up with just one round of antibiotics, and if improperly treated it may become a chronic problem for you.

I would be checked out again, it could just be a yeast infection
But, it could also be that the antibiotics didn't finish killing all the bacteria (so many are resistant to antibiotics these days)
You'll probably be put back on them
check out this site and do some more research so you feel confident in your decision making

<a href="http://bacterial-vaginosis-info.com">bacterial vaginosis</a>

Monilia is a yeast that may infect the walls of the vagina and cause a white, cheesy discharge. Trichomonas is a common micro-organism that can cause a white, frothy discharge and intense itch. A mixture of bacteria may be responsible for a discharge, so-called nonspecific vaginitis. These infections aren't serious and don't spread to the rest of the body, but they are bothersome. They will sometimes but not always go away by themselves. If discharge persists beyond a few weeks, make an appointment with the doctor. And you have a good day.

<a href="http://bacterial-vaginosis-info.com" rel="nofollow">vaginal odor</a>

A woman can suffer recurring bouts of Bacterial Vaginosis if she continues to re-introduce the unhealthy bacteria into her vaginal area. For example, if a woman notices she only has BV-like symptoms and problems when she engages in unprotected sexual intercourse with her partner, then this may be the reason for her multiple experiences with BV.
