Does bacterial vaginosis medication really help?
HotMomma9907 asked:
I got prescribed metronidazole for bacterial vaginosis, and I just wanted to know how well it worked. I have a bad odor down there and I don’t get how a pill can make it stop. How soon does it work?

vaginal odor
Antibiotics do not build up in your bloodstream in a sufficient level to kill germs until you have been taking them for 48 – 72 hours. Do not expect much improvement until after that time. Make sure you finish all of your antibiotics. Also consider having a recheck after you are done with the antibiotics to make sure it is cleared up because sometimes, one course of antibiotics does not completely clear it up.
